Most of us know about how to chat in gtalk using english. But Do you know how to chat in Indian regional languages like Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu using gtalk? Here is the Quick tips about how chat in your favorite Indian regional languages using google’s gtalk.
Google’s gtalk had many transliteration bots (not translation bots) which will help you to chat in your favorite Indian regional languages. Here is the list of google transliteration bots which supports Indian regional languages.
- English to Hindi – en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com
- English to Tamil – en2ta.translit@bot.talk.google.com
- English to Malayalam – en2ma.translit@bot.talk.google.com
- English to Kannada – en2ka.translit@bot.talk.google.com
- English to Telugu – en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com
Simply add google bots in your gtalk messenger friends list as we shown here. Here we show you how to add google English to Hindi transliteration bot in your gtalk messenger list.


Once you added English to Hindi Transliteration bot in your friends list, it will be included immediately. To access google Hindi bot, simply click google Hindi transliteration bot from your gtalk friends list, and type the word in english in chat window as we shown below. Immediately the the word which you typed in english converted into Hindi. See the google Hindi bot transliteration action in below screenshot. similar to that you can do for other languages too as we specified above.
If you wish to chat with friends in your regional language, simply add appropriate google transliteration bot into your gtalk friends list and convert from english to your prefered language. Once converted english word into your prefered language using google bot, then copy the translated text and paste to friends chat window. that’s it.. Remember, this is transliteration, and not translation.

Does the tamil transliteration service still available? When I try adding the bot to my friend list, the staus says invited and does not add the friend immediately.
Can you please confirm?

Still i am using tamil transliteration in my gtalk. Simply Add en2ta.translit@bot.talk.google.com in your gtalk friends list. If you still not found the tamil bot in your gtalk friends list, simply search in your gtalk using the same phrase as you used for transliteration server as we shown above screenshot. Hope it might sense you.
