1.Remove Unnecessary fonts. Removing unnecessary fonts will drastically improves your Windows vista start up speed. To remove the fonts just navigate through C:\Windows\Fonts and remove the unnecessary fonts. ( Note: Please Don’t remove default Windows vista and Webdings Fonts.If you remove it, some programs may cease to function if the proper font(s) can’t be found.
2.Keep your Windows Vista and device drivers up to date. Update your Windows vista regularly and device drivers from appropriate website. This will ensures you speedup your windows vista powered PC. To update Windows vista go to Start > All Programs > Windows Update or Navigate through Control Panel > Windows Update.
3.Remove remote access if you enabled Earlier. To remove remote access is fairly simple. Go to My Computer > Properties > Remote > deselect “Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer” and select “Don’t allow connections to this computer”
4.Disable the unnecessary Hardware which is not using frequently. To disable unnecessary hardware Go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager and disable the unnecessary hardwares carefully like sound cards, Joysticks or TV tuner Cards. You can enable again whenever you need it.
5.Disable unnecessary start up programs. To do this go to start and type msconfig in Search tab. Now run the msconfig application. Then Go to Start up tab and Identify programs to remove from start up and uncheck it. Click apply and restart your computer. That’s it.
