A hangover is the unpleasant effects that cause to the person due to heavy consumption of alcoholic beverages. This effect includes headache, lethargy, diarrhea, thirst, sensitivity to noise and light. Most of them suffer a lot in hangover and unable to overcome it. The effect of hangover is mainly due to the dehydration of body.
In order to prevent hangover, avoid mixing of carbonated drinks and other fruit juices with alcohol. Because, the sugar present in the drinks helps the alcohol to reach the bloodstream quicker and in turn make you dehydrated faster. Try to eat potatoes before consuming the alcohol that will help to reduce the hangover.
The potatoes contain the flavonoids that help to reduce the symptoms of hangover. In case if you are going to drink vodka then avoid mixing of fruit drinks, energy drinks or anything else that contain carbonation. This makes you to get dehydrate quickly and you will become hangover. You can also drink plenty of water before, after and while drinking alcohol. Water plays a major role in diluting the alcohol and helps to prevent dehydration. Drinking more water reduces the more chance of getting hangover.
Sleeping for a longtime after you drink will make you to prevent a hangover. In some circumstances, if you are drinking for a whole night then you have to take rest for the next whole day.
