Steps to Find Your Vehicles Mileage
Step 1: Keep your motorcycle’s fuel tank knob in main, (Make sure that you have enough fuel to run your motorcycle in main, and keep as minimum as possible to ride or else your have to ride more distance to used up all main tank fuel of your motorcycle) and kick start your motorcycle and start riding until used up main fuel.
Step 2: Once main fuel is used, the motorcycle will stop running. Now set your Odometer (Speedometer) to zero.
Step 3: Now Switch your fuel resource into reserve tank and find nearest fuel station.
Step 4: Fill your fuel tank and ensure to switch back fuel tank knob to main. Note down how much fuel takes to fill your fuel tank. (F1)
Step 5: Start riding again till empty your main tank again. Now note down odometer (Speedometer) reading again. (Travel distance)
Now calculate using below formula to find your mileage of your motorcycle. The Formula is Travel Distance / F1 = xxx Kmpl If you need more accurate mileage of your motorcycle, repeat steps twice or thrice and make an average to get accurate mileage. Remember that mileage may vary time to time depends on your ride speed and riding conditions. So, the best way to calculate your motorcycle mileage is Total distance traveled divided by Total Fuel Used.
