The exterior part of the car should be checked and make sure that when the car was painted. By checking this we can prevent our car from underlying rust. The bumpers and wheels of the car are also to be checked for the sign of dents, rust or body filler. The sides of the car to be inspected in front, rear and beneath for the signs of any major body repair. The door panels and the hood have to be verified whether it has been aligned properly with the fenders and other side panels. By opening and closing the door of the car can make us to check the appearance of any damage in the car.
The important thing in inspecting the car is to lift the hood and check the engine’s overall cleanliness. This will also helps to look for the rust on the manifold and find the oil leakage in the car. Taking the oil in dipstick and rubbing it with the thumb will show you the small particles. If the small particles occur then it is due to problem arisen in the car.
Now we can start the engine and take the car for a test drive. The engine should start immediately, and it is also important to check the breaks by driving the car for a short distance. Make sure that the front and back lights, wipers, radio and turn signal of the car is working properly. By after checking these things, if you get satisfied then you can go ahead to buy the used car.
