If you wish to know the details of your computer IP address, here is the quick tips that helps you to find the IP address for your computer using the windows command prompt.
• Click the start menu in the bottom of your screen which is available in the taskbar. On clicking the start menu you will find the Run option in the right side bottom of the window.
• Select the Run menu, a new text box window will be open with the blinking cursor.
• In the Run box type “Command” or “cmd” and click on the ok option or press Enter key from your keyboard. This will open the MS DOS window in your computer screen and you are now ready to enter the command. • Now you can type the command as “netstat –n” that also include with the space. On typing this you will get the list of active connections and IP numbers.
• Your IP number will be identified from the Local address field and the foreign address field shows the IP numbers of the people or sites which are connected by you as shown above.
